Q: Could you please provide a brief history
of your company and the type of services you offer?
Rockhart is a lifestyle brand that combines the essence of
Rock & Roll and the iconography of classic video games into an authentic
expression of an amplified 8-bit lifestyle. We provide high quality products to
people who love head banging and button mashing.
Q : You chose the black paper stock, which can
be challenging to use since it can’t have ink printed on them, but you managed
to make it look amazing, can you walk us through your design process?
It really boils down to designing with the limitations and
advantages of your chosen medium in mind. Taking advantage of additional
finishing details, like embossing to create texture, also help elevate the
final printed piece.
Q : What purpose was the card designed
for?
These cards are used as backing cards for our various enamel
pin designs, all of which are available at rockhartclothing.com.
Q: What made you choose to emboss the cards
rather than use another finishing option such as raised ink?
I really wanted to add some texture behind where the pins
would attach, but a lot more subtle than foil or glossy ink. Embossing helped
achieve that detail in a really nice way.
Q: Did you consider other stock options or was
it always going to be black paper for you from the start?
I designed with the black paper in mind as I wanted a dark
background to help my product to really pop.
Q : How did you find MorningPrint and what led
you to decide to use us for your printing needs?
A friend sent me a link to your site about 5 years ago, and
I've been printing large and small jobs with you ever since.
